#playreadingwithstephanie second play of October! (I’m running a bit behind 😬) This month I’m reading cozy, small town #fallvibes plays inspired by the @dramabookshop #readaplay #drinksometea 🤓📚☕️🍁

🎭 I’m reading…PRIMARY TRUST by Eboni Booth!!! Well I think all other plays can probably go home now, this is it for me 😂 I’m kidding, but oh boy did I LOVE this play! It’s just so beautiful, and captures small town life so perfectly. Kenneth is an amazing character, and as I saw his story unfold, I was riveted with every moment. Truly one of favorites, ever 🩷🩷🩷

🫖 I’m drinking…chai tea @colburncafevt in Manchester, Vermont! This is a cute little coffee shop in the Northshire Bookshop, and it’s a perfect place to sit and read on a chilly Fall day! 🌬️🍂☕️📖

#playreadingwithstephanie First play of October! This month, I’m reading four plays all inspired by the homey, small-town, cozy vibes of autumn! (Thanks @dramabookshop😄) #readaplay #drinksometea 🤓📚☕️🍁
.
🎭 I’m reading…KIM’S CONVENIENCE by Ins Choi! I totally loved this play by debut Korean-Canadian playwright Choi! Check out the script that inspired the CBC TV series!
.
🫖 I’m drinking…a roasted matcha latte @htc.lounge in White Plains! They have great loose leaf tea and also always have fun seasonal drinks too! The roasted matcha is just a bit sweet and so cozy and yummy! ☕️🍂🧡

#playreadingwithstephanie last play of September! This month, I read three plays about learning, education, teaching, and school. #readaplay #drinksometea 🤓📚☕️✏️
.
🎭 I’m reading…THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME by Mark Haddon, adapted by Simon Stephens! This is a truly beautiful and special story about discovery, growth, being brave, and navigating a world you weren’t given all the tools for. Loved it!!
.
🫖 I’m drinking….Golden Green Tea @tattebakery I had to go back now that it’s a bit cooler to have hot tea and a croissant, and obviously I will be back again soon to try even more! So cozy! ☕️🥐🌿🌧️

#playreadingwithstephanie second play of September! This month I’m reading plays about school and education! #readaplay #drinksometea 🤓📚☕️✏️

🎭 I’m reading…THE NICETIES by Eleanor Burgess! Let me know if you’ve ever read or seen this play!

🫖 I’m drinking…sencha green tea @simpleloafbakehouse in Park Slope! They have a great tea selection and the most amazing baked goods, pastries and brunch/lunch items!! Highly recommend! 🍵🥐🍳🍃

#playreadingwithstephanie First play of September! This month, it’s back to school season, so I’m reading some school/education themed plays! #readaplay #drinksometea 🤓📚☕️✏️

I loved The History Boys, by Alan Bennet, and would love to hear if you’ve ever read or seen it, below!! ⤵️

(And I’m changing it up with this new format, and including helpful info for actors about the play! Check out all in the slides! 🎭)

#playreadingwithstephanie last play of August!! Goodbye August!!! This month, I read four plays by lesser-known playwrights, and this was perhaps my favorite of the month (well maybe this one and Kill Local!) #readaplay #drinksometea 🤓📚☕️🌊

🎭 I’m reading…FLEX by Candrice Jones! This play premiered in a co-production between @theatresquared and @theatricaloutfit and played at @lctheater in 2023! It is such a beautiful, really well-written story of a high school basketball team in rural Arkansas at the end of the 90s, and I loved it SO much!! Head to my story to hear more about it! 👍🏻👍🏻🩷🩷🩷

🫖 I’m drinking…an iced green tea with a cherry almond scone @tattebakery which just opened here in NYC! And I loveeee it!!! They have such great tea options and I can’t wait to go when it gets cooler and have hot tea! Yay for this new cute neighborhood spot! 😄🧋🍪🍰🌱
